This semester, our short courses include:
Notes from the Underground
Thursdays, 11:00-12:25pm, starting February 6 for 8 weeks
Notes from Underground is a good introduction to the work of the famous Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky. Not only is it a novel and an artistic achievement, but it is also an important philosophical, political, and psychological statement from the 19th century. At the same time, it also gives context for the major novels by Dostoevsky that follow it. Finally, it can help us better understand human nature and to consider what kind of society will best provide for people's spiritual needs.
Fellows Program
Combining rich community over home-cooked meals, thoughtful conversation, and Christian spiritual formation, the Fellows program helps students to see themselves and their callings in the light of the gospel. This multi-semester program aims to provide a grounding in the best of what the historic Christian tradition says about bringing our whole lives into God’s story for all of creation.
